The High Heeled Mama's fireplace
Isn't it cute! The idea is that every day each of us writes down what we are thankful for. So, Ms. Sassypant's & I traced & cut leaves out last night while watching a recording of Dancing With the Stars. {note to self: next year go get them die-cut}
I love how The High Heeled Mama hung them across her fireplace but, since we don't have one, we hung them down the stairs.
The kids are having fun with it. So far, some of the things they are grateful for are ice cream, church, Cap'n Crunch & family.
I like the idea of saving them each year so we can look back at them. And maybe we'll get enough to decorate the Thanksgiving table! Go to Just a Girl to get more cute ideas on ways we can help our kids {& ourselves} remember the many blessings we have.

I love that idea too. I need to do this with my kids and have it hanging for Thanksgiving!
great ideas are passed from one to another.
love it.
I don't think you are a copy cat just someone who found a great idea and used it too. I have also found some amazing things while blog surfing. I even found your blog which I really have been enjoying.
Jamie, I've been wanting to make this too. Just haven't gotten around to it-I dread cutting out all those leaves!
Thank you so much for your encouraging words. You are too sweet. I really do appreciate it! Yes, please say a prayer for us:)
Don't you love this...it is so cute! What a great idea too. I thought about something similar except attached to a tree branch...I'm sure it is not original but I like the leaf look! Great idea, Debbie
Great idea - love it!
these are so cute! I also love those Halloween pillowcases you showed in an earlier post.

dont worry! I am making one of these too! :) hehehe
By the way, I am having a giveaway over at my blog, I would love for you to come check it out! :)
Way cute! I can't believe you traced and cut out all of the leaves. Crazy girl!
It looks great! I don't envy you for cutting out all those leaves. Would this be a bad time to tell you that I just used by die cutter at work, and it only took me about 5 minutes? Yeah, bad time. :) It's a great idea--glad you "copied" it!
This is a beautiful decoration in more ways than one. I especially like the idea of using the staircase; this area is such a neglected spot for decorating.
You have a beautiful site!
