{ I Spy }

Oh my goodness! It feels like I've been gone for so long...and I didn't even get to go anywhere. Just busy, busy, busy. I am in charge of a Christmas dinner for the ladies at my church. We are planning for about 45 women this year. I have a great committee that has been very helpful & I think everything will turn out alright. I just finished tying the ribbons onto the little gift that we will be giving out this year. Whew! Glad to have that done. I thought I'd share a few pictures of our family Christmas tree. It is, definately, not fancy but my kids love it! Of course they do...it's stuffed with all of their ornaments!

I told you, stuffffffed with ornaments! Where did they all come from? Well, I started the tradition of buying each of my kids an ornament every year plus, they have made quite a few at school plus, I was in an ornament exchange on both sides of my family for a few years which meant I brought home about 20 new ornaments every year! I have so many ornaments that I can't fit them all onto the tree! I hate to get rid of any though. What to do?

We could play I Spy. I spy a pair of red mittons, Shrek & Donkee, Wizard of Oz, a caroler & Dora...

This year I let the kids put all of the ornaments on the tree by themselves & am trying with all my might not to move any of them around. They are so proud of it.

I have really missed reading your blogs & will, probably, be up until 2am catching up on them!

Jamie-I love your tree:) Isn't it great when you are able to put a memory with an ornament. I can remember how old each of my girls where when we bought certain ornaments, like the year my oldest LOVED Monster's Inc. Just had to have those ornaments! I too buy them a new one every year and then surprise them by hanging it on their trees when they are at school or sleeping. They each have their own in their bedroom. For some reason that is so exciting for them to discover that new ornament. LOVE your leg lamp ornament:)

Jamie - Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Yes, Christmas is a little more stressful this year because of the unintended move, but I am just letting things happen and trying hard to enjoy it. No expectations this year except to be happy no matter what. This is a bit unlike my controlling self, so we shall see how I do. I love your tree, it is much like mine - so many ornaments and memories. We will be pulling it out and finding a home for it in our new living room this coming weekend. I will be sure to post a picture or two. I have the leg lamp ornament too - I want the real thing, but nobody believes me!

It's beautiful! I did the same thing with Maddison--let her decorate and then resisted moving things around. Except I had to rearrange some so that Saylor couldn't grab them.

Anyways, it's totally beautiful!

The tree is great. Ours is the same thing. I call it our Family History tree. Everything has a memory/story and tells all about our family for the last 30 years. Definitely not a designer look, but a happy one!

Personal, personalized trees are the best. Yours is gorgeous. It is so much fun to drag out the ornaments and reminense on years past.
