{ Adam }

This my adorable nephew, Adam.

Isn't he just beyond cute?!!! When he was 13 months old, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. His mom & dad have to give him shots of 2 different kinds of insulin daily and check his blood sugar every 2-3 hours 24/7. His beautiful mom {my sis-in-law} is riding in the Tour de Cure, put on by the American Diabetes Association.

Last year, more than 38,000 cyclists in 78 Tour events raised nearly $16 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

If you're interested, you can make a donation here. It's for a good cause & a cute little guy!

Oh my gosh, he is SOO adorable!! And poor little guy, that is rough!

I think that's awesome that his mom is participating in that. So cool.

He looks so happy in spite of what may be very uncomfortable situation.

My father and sister both were diagnosed as children with type I diabetes.

The research and funds that have been raised have been so successful thus far, I am optimistic and hopeful for a cure soon!
