{ Safety First }

Phew! I just finished my week long project of putting together a 72 hour emergency backpack for each person in our family. I had 4 that I completed about 7 years ago, before Peanut & Boo were born. So we pulled them all out, dusted them off & replaced all the food, batteries, toothpaste, etc. Then I put together 2 new backpacks for the little girls.

Ahh! It feels so good to have it done. I pray we won't need them but, at least they are there if we do. Maybe I haven't felt very creative lately because of this project. I am hoping to get a project of the creative, fun type done this weekend using some items from Wal-mart that I found yesterday. I'm crossing my fingers. Have a happy & safe :) weekend.

Any chance we can get a list of what you put in each of them?

My mom made us 72 hour kits a few years ago and gave them to us for Christmas. Mine is in my car. I haven't used it yet, and I need to go through it to make sure I don't need to add/get rid of anything, but it is nice to have in case of an emergency!

Hmmm, that's interesting! I've never heard of that. I hope you don't mind my asking.......are you nervous about something? I think I heard you mention that you're in southern CA?? Fires maybe?? Just curious.

I have meant to do that for the longest time. I would love the list too.

Good Job! List please. We have ours in a crush proof, water proof tool box that can be picked up and taken. I'm interested to see what you put in yours.

Yep, I need that list too. Thanks for giving me that kick in the pants I needed to get our 72 hour kits together.

I have been thinking about doing this or at least something similiar. Congratulations to you for actually sitting down and getting it done. Yes, please share the items that you put in them.
