{ New Legs }

As much as I wish the new legs were for me, they weren't. Our nightstands have been a bit too short ever since we bought our bed frame. See...
So, after complaining to my mom that I didn't want to spend the money for new nightstands but, how much it bothered me that they were too short she, being the super creative, frugal woman that she is, came up with the idea to just add new legs onto them. {that was a long sentence...a run on, maybe?...English teacher, Chris?} Anyway, she's a genius.
So, I took off the bun feet... And replaced them with new, long, slender legs. That was after their spray tan, of course {stained to match & satin finish :)}...
Here they are...what do you think?...
See how nicely the night stand relates to the bed now?...
Ahhh, so much better! I'm still considering painting them black to match the bed. I'm not sure if it will be too matchy, matchy. What are you thoughts on that? Oh! and I want to paint the lamps & redo the lamp shades. And I'm working on some new bedding. Can you tell I'm finally getting around to decorating the master bedroom?
Hey, and did you notice the wall back there? That will be a later post. Let's just say, my husband thinks I'm crazy. Stay tuned...

Sooo great! Don't you love talking to Mom, she's always great about getting the creative juices flowing. Your room is looking amazing. Can't wait to see the wall when it's done.

Now about your bun feet... Would you be willing to mail them to me? I have an idea for a project, but need bun feet to complete it...

Ooooh, I love them with the new legs! And I say that you should *definitely* paint them black!! It will look so super fab.

And the walls are gorgeous!

My sister did that with an old dresser and it changed the entire look. It was pine and she painted/antiqued it white for a shabby chic look.

Great job. Now can you help me with a dresser and bookcase?????

I love black, but that mapley color really warms up the look. Nice legs, by the way... (did that sound creepy?)

What a transformation! Love it, and never would have thought it would turn out if I did it! I would definitely consider painting them black, I think it would tie in nicely and you could even do a little distressed white to come through as well. Love your blog!

I nearly gagged on my tea when I read your (run-on) sentence! You're hilarious!

As for the nightstand, you're a genius! Well, your mom's a genius! I would NOT have thought of that. I want to go find a nightstand that I can give some sleek legs to! By the way, I need to see more of that room. It's looking too cute!

@Cheap Chic Home. Ya know, duh! I don't think I would have thought of changing the feet either--Go, Mom! Maybe you could try a chunky black knob to see if you like that???

Well done Jammer, I really like them natural. I think black would be too matchy-matchy. Keep up the good work.
