I have been searching on Craiglist for dining hutch for quite a while.
I just couldn't find one that I liked for the right price, but I wasn't in a hurry.
Well, on Saturday I went garage saleing with a friend.
I didn't really need anything & in an effort not to buy anything, I didn't bring any money.
Yep, you heard me right...no money.
And it was a good thing I didn't have any cash because that is when you find the perfect thing, right?
Luckily, I have a wonderful friend who loaned me the $75 so I could bring this baby home with me.
Yep...$75...Score!
I love the detail on the doors & the top of the cabinet.
She's going to get stained {I guess she's a girl} a little bit darker cuz the color is a bit too orangey-yellow for me.
I filled it with all of the white dishes I had stashed in my kitchen.
Did you know I have a thing for white dishes?
My every day dishes are white, too.
Bonus...I have more room in my kitchen cupboards now!
So, what do you think?

It's awesome. I'm so glad you are leaving the wood finish and not painting it!
I think you got quite the bargain. Love it and your china looks happy to be displayed in it.

Gorgeous, I love the detail. Great bargain too. I've been searching for almost a year for a pine buffet and hutch that is not hugely overpriced. I have found an armoire and a small hutch that I bought, but still searching for the perfect large one. Maybe I will get lucky soon.
That's awesome. Nice price too! It looks great with the white dishes.
Love ya

That last comment was from me... oops, I was signed in as Eric (like he cares about your hutch...I mean, he does.... but not really) haha!

It's a beauty and it's nice to hear people willing to do the work to keep it stained.
